Filetto

”Filetto” is a part of artist’s Into Reverie series, where the boundaries of the photographic language through technical restriction are explored. The work transpired from a desire to develop a more painterly photographic language through the exploration of movement and slow shutter speeds. Using a digital camera Mark experiments without consuming endless rolls of film, see the results immediately and adapt his technique accordingly.

Subjects are captured at night or when daylight is fading from the sky. In environments where people both gather and move. All effects are created in-camera with slow shutter speeds, camera pans, zooms, camera shakes and often shooting without looking through the viewfinder. The results can be somewhat controlled but never fully predicted.
