Riccardo Attanasio
”I personally want to find an answer by touching the limitation of space and time because I believe art goes beyond any statement written by human beings, even the greatest M. Duchamp”
Riccardo sees time as perimeter, containing an empty space in the middle. The frame of the time he is talking about is not just an out line. That frame contains a ‘centripetal void’ and on its outside a ‘centrifugal void’. He sees the centripetal part of the time frame a place where all the experiences can be remembered and mapped. If inside the time frame there is emptiness what’s outside of it? Perhaps an extension of what is inside that frame…void. The two voids get filled up of experiences, but he sees in them no space for time, time does not exist there, but experience does. In the centrifugal part as he above mentioned experiences can be remembered, when in the centrifugal part, experiences are only sensed but lost and cannot be recalled.
Creativity transcends the ego, when we are in the void of pure creativity we forget about ourselves and we are a pure channel for art to travel in our body and the audience. Riccardo’s interdisciplinary approach to art does not cage itself in a media or fashion, contemporanity, concept, etc. His work simply follows the flow of his life at the unison with his spiritual growth. His art exists in this particular period of time but it is not depended on it because it happens where time does not exist (the void).
