Maria Konstanse Bruun
Originally being from Norway, Maria is currently based in the UK. Maria’s performance-based self-portraiture hold narratives that force the spectator to engage with a subconscious emotional landscape that he/she normally wouldn’t confront. A deep fascination with the human psyche and our emotional backyard is underlining all of Maria’s work.
Besides being a fine art photographer, Maria is a Social Anthropologist and with a background in Psychology, which can be seen in the way her work provides a subtle comment to our society and questions how we engage and interact with our surroundings.
